There are various reasons your TV Aerial may not be working. First of all check to see if your Aerial Cable is connected by checking behind your TV to ensure the Aerial cable has not been accidentally dis-connected.
Is your TV is on the wrong Source?
If you are on the wrong TV input and getting a no signal message it doesn’t mean if fact that you have no signal, it means that you are getting no signal from whatever input is associated with the input or source that you have selected. Try changing the Source by using the Source button on your TV remote.
Is your Amplifier or Power Supply Unit switched off?
If you have an Amplifier or Power Supply Unit associated with your TV System you should also check to make sure that these are switched on.
Does your TV need retuning?
If you have recently moved address and you can’t get a TV aerial signal, then you will almost certainly need to retune your TV so that it is tuned to the transmitter that your antenna is aligned to. This is because transmitters from region to region use different frequencies and your TV needs to know which frequencies to choose.
Do you have a faulty Aerial Cable?
There are lots of things that can go wrong with the aerial cable. There could be a break in the cable or it could have become waterlogged for example.

Freesat is a digital satellite TV service from the BBC and ITV, offering even more free channels than are available on Freeview. As with Freeview, there are no ongoing fees and you don't have to worry about a contract - but you'll need a dish fitted to your home to receive Freesat. While this can require an initial outlay, it may suit those who don't get the best reception with Freeview. You'll also need a Freesat set-top box - some of which allow you to pause and rewind live TV. TVs with Freesat: Some TVs have built-in satellite tuners meaning they can receive either Freesat or even Freesat HD channels without needing a separate set-top box. You just need to connect the satellite cable to your TV and you're good to go.

There’s nothing worse than being on an important video call when bam - you’re disconnected because your internet signal dropped. Or even if it didn’t drop completely, the connection becomes weak and now you’re running through your house – laptop in hand – trying to find a decent connection and have to resort to taking the rest of the call from your kitchen table (with kids screaming in the background). Having the perfect home office setup doesn’t help when you’re forced to relocate on a moment’s notice due to a bad internet connection. Now that so many of us are working from home, internet connection speed has become more valuable than ever.
The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically shifted internet traffic patterns and capacity needs. Not only has demand shifted away from commercial areas towards residential ones, we’re using more bandwidth-intensive applications and more home based internet instead of mobile internet.
The good news is that there are small changes that can be made to ensure you are maximising your home’s connectivity.
Wright Digital is committed to getting you the correct connectivity with a choice of Hardwired Ethernet and Wifi Solutions for you and your home or home office working environment. Contact Wright Digital to help design and install a home or home office network that will optimise your data performance.
BT TV has both Freeview channels through your aerial, and premium channels via broadband. To get Freeview channels which are available in your area, you'll need a working rooftop TV aerial with the right cabling to plug into the BT TV box.

To get Freeview, you need an aerial in good condition. While indoor portable aerials may pick up Freeview, for best results Freeview recommend a roof aerial.

Often Builders don’t fit TV aerials as standard in New Build Properties. They do, however usually install the necessary wiring, from an aerial socket in your living room to the loft space. Other rooms may also have an aerial point depending on the specification of the home.
An aerial can often be fitted within the loft space itself.
The aerial cables will usually terminate in one location within the loft space, normally close to the loft entrance hatch.
We recommend you employ a qualified aerial specialist to fit and connect an aerial. Contact your local Leeds Aerial Installer Wright Digital on 0113 3452840 to discuss any TV Aerial, Satellite and Audio Visual requirements you have.
If you're not interested in watching much online content and you don't want to be tied into a subscription, there are simple devices you can use to watch Freeview or Freesat. All modern TVs have a digital tuner built in that will let you access free TV channels via Freeview. All you'll need to do is connect it to a working aerial. If you have an older TV, you'll need a separate digital TV box to pick up Freeview. Freeview gives you access to more than 70 free live TV channels including BBC One, BBC Two, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. An outdoor aerial usually gives the best reception. You can't watch streaming services with an aerial, because they can't hook up to an internet connection. But if you don't have a great internet connection at home, an aerial might give you the best TV quality possible. You might need or want to use a TV box - like a set-top box or PVR - to access Freeview. These can vary in price, but you don't need a brand new one. An old one that you might have sitting at the back of the cupboard should work fine. PVRs are generally more expensive than set-top boxes, but you can use them to record live TV and connect to the internet. Freesat is free digital TV delivered via satellite, and it has around 100 more free channels than Freeview.
If you don't have a TV Aerial or Satellite Dish call Wright Digital, your local small independent, Leeds based TV Aerial and Satellite Dish Installers to discuss your requirements.
